Science Centre

   Falconry held every Tuesday, starting 28 July for five weeks. Informal opportunity to meet the trainers and stroke some of the birds. Two flying demonstrations will take place and the times will be announced on the day depending on weather conditions. Free with admission.

 

   A team of young scientists will be meeting visitors and giving demonstrations and experiments. Monday - Friday

 

   Balloon Man is our regular children’s entertainer with his comedy magic show. Free with admission. Mondays, Wednesdays & Thursdays.

 

   Bee Day Friday 14 August. Local bee-keepers will talk informally about their work and explain how the public can help nurture the bee population.

‘Kaluoka’hina, The Enchanted Reef’ is a children’s animated film about a reef which remains hidden from mankind through magical means, until the spell is broken. To save their paradise, the small sawfish Jake and his friend Shorty have to solve a riddle. The audience is immersed in the film on the full dome screen and they will travel through gigantic kelp forests, pass swirling shoals and encounter sharks. Only on this summer, 23 July – 5 September. Daily at 3:30pm only.
